Hi,

I am looking for possible solution for my old van that currenty cannot start due to ECU problem. Can you please suggest a solution maybe for suitable aftermarket standalone ECU and the price.

Its Citroen Evasion
year 2001
ew10j4 engine, 2.0, 4 cyclinder, 16valves
manual transmission

From previous Facebook message, Linkecu had advice me to go for Link Monsoon.

Link use CAN-BUS; but this car originally using KWP-SLOW. Is there will be any problem? Can other original module (aircond, dashboard instrument cluster, automatic aircond controller, etc. ) in the car working as it should with Link Atom/Monsoon?

Thank you.

Back in 2001 KWP was mostly used for the diagnostics port only, not commonly used for communication between other modules.  Are you sure the devices you mention are controlled by a KWP network and not just traditional wired signals in this car?

If you really need KWP then pretty much no aftermarket ECU would be directly compatible, you would need some smart person to design some type of CAN to KWP conversion device especially coded to provide the correct messages that your chassis needs.
