928sg
The LSU 4.9 that I have from Ballenger has this bulky connector requiring a rather large hole through the firewall, In talking to BM, I was told this was for ecu's that can't do a free air calibration. Did I buy the wrong O2 sensors? Can I de pin and put the smaller standard LSU 4.9 connector on it and use it that way? I'm not that experienced in the newer wideband sensors. Adamw
What is the part number for the sensor you have? It doesnt sound like a LSU4.9 at all. There are a few rare specials, but the vast majority all use the same connector.
928sg
I’ve attached photo’s of the connector on the sensor
928sg
On the left is the connector I’m talking about and the one on the right is the connector I want to replace it with.
Adamw
No, the one on the left is the standard LSU4.9 connector. It has a calibration resistor is it that is unique to that specific sensor under that cover on the side so cant be changed. I normally punch a hole about 24mm and the sensor will pass through if you just round the corners off the hex nut a little.
Varinn
Bumping this old topic back up as it seems relevant to my question in a way, I'm doing my first install finally after shelving my project for ages. Would this Bosch wideband be compatible for a Link Fury G4+? I see a few different variations at BM and want to be sure I buy the right part. I don't care what type of connector it has as long as I'm able to buy the mating half of it. https://www.bmotorsports.com/shop/product_info.php/cPath/103_105/products_id/1645
Adamw
That is a standard LSU4.9 sensor & connector, correct for a Fury or CAN Lambda.
