soondin
I have wired G4X Fury ECU and done wiring but still can't start engine. One time okay to start engine and okay Idle (MAP sensor was not connected vacuum) I have problems, trig2 have no signal. Have to change to hall type? M50TU one have different connector. How about use other model's Reluctor? Trig2 port working is okay I've checked swap Trig1 and Trig2. With Stock ECU, I can see Cam sensor signal with Scope I think sensor is okay. Before solve this, Some time just key on, Engine happen backfiring. I think it happen when prime injection. Any solution for this? I've wiring DI4 for Ign S/W and INJ8 for ECU hold power engine control module relay. TriggerScopeLog.llgx
Adamw
The cam sensor from the engines originally with Siemans ecu is a special active frequency sensor, it will not work with any aftermarket ecu. You will need to replace it with a hall effect sensor. Im pretty sure most guys use the M50TU cam sensor. For the back fire, what coils and ignitor do you have? soondin
Adam, Yes, I've see some frequency sensor issue on this forum. I used stock coil. Today suddenly start engine okay. and restart okay and rev up is okay too. But off engine some minute later no more start engine. Please see attached logs. Adamw
You have no cam signal so it will only fire on the correct stroke approx 50% of start attempts. As I said above the M52 siemans sensor will not work. Also, the M52 coils are "dumb coils" they do not have an amplifier built in. You will need to wire in two 3 channel ignitors or change to a smart coil like VAG etc..
soondin
Adam, Okay but why this kind of informations is not in Help. As many as I know E36X have internal igniter. That's why I think FuryX have internal too. How about use Stock ECU's igniter? I have one ECU board looks like easy to wiring. One more question E36X for M50. I have this one for fine tune. Base is done some days ago (Looks like Rear wheel speed signal is not in to E36X) I don't check directly checked with scope but pull up/down is same and when stock ECU. This car have no speed meter issue. Kevin
Adamw
I would not recomend trying to use components from the oem ecu, too many unknowns. For the speed sensor you can use the trigger scope function to capture DI 1/2/3/4 to confirm the signal is there. Im not 100% sure but think pull-up needs to be on for the E36. soondin
E36X things, I will check again when car is come for fine tune and let you know. Igniter, have you VAG parts number? When you see logs what I attached. AUX2 be a fault (connected ISC Closed). I do test on desk, It have no outputs. It mean FuryX's internal problems? soondin
Today changed cam sensor from E46 (MS42/Hall) Now okay to see Trig1 and Trig2 be Yes. But still can't start engine. It's by Igniter and Coils? Still confuse how to start engine last saturday. Kevin TriggerScopeLog.llgx
Adamw
Your question is not clear. Yes you will need to add either an ignitor if you use the stock coils, or change to some other coils with ignitors built-in. If you have already done that and there is no signs of life then you are possibly sparking on the exhaust stroke. If thats the case then you can try changing your trigger offset by 360deg. soondin
I see, I will try about start engine things after ready igniter. Remain questions is Why happen firing when I keyon. It will be gone when I ready Igniter? AUX2 have Fault. Have same fault when I do test on Desk. (Other AUX and Ign ans Inj is okay.) Adamw
21 minutes ago, soondon said: Why happen firing when I keyon. Because you dont have an ignitor, it means the coils will be charging the whole time the ignition is on - until the ignition outputs detect too much current and shut down. 22 minutes ago, soondon said: AUX2 have Fault. What fault do you have? What is connected to Aux 2?
soondin
When I try start engine or test on desk. AUX2 (ISC Soleoid Close)'s status be Fault and RED. Kevin
