Christian.Lees
Are the link ECUs capable of using a renix 44-2-2 crank trigger. The flywheel is from a Renault R5 alpine being out on a K4M from a Clio being installed in a 1969 R10. Thanks Christian
Vaughan
Do you have any pictures of the trigger wheels or diagrams of how the teeth are laid out?
Christian.Lees
Vaughan, Not my flywheel but is a similar enough pattern. Mine is nowhere near that shiny. Christian
Adamw
Geez, trust the french to dream up something so odd. 360deg/44 = 8.18181818 degrees per tooth! Also, that odd long tooth will produce a zero crossing so it is not actually missing two teeth - you will get a single missing tooth, then a zero crossing, then a seconod missing tooth. So it would actually more correctly be described more like 42-1-1-1-1. Oscilloscope capture from google below. This pattern is not currently supported, but I will ask the firmware guys next week if it would be possible.
jonnyt80
From what I've read up on the clio 172/182 flywheel should fit an F4M That will allow you to run a 60-2 trigger pattern
Adamw
To the OP, sorry, I did talk to the firmware engineers about this the otherday and forgot to feed back the reply. Due to the odd 8.181818181 deg spacing between the teeth this is a difficult trigger for our existing code to support. It will need quite a lot of work to do and even then there will be an accumulated error of about 0.44 deg by the time you reach the missing tooth area and reset back to zero (due to us treating the spacing as 8.2deg rather that 8.1818). So I can get it on the wish list but it is not going to be a quick/easy one, it may take a bit of time. How much time do you have up your sleeve? Justin16v
Hi, did this trigger ever get to the programmer stage?
