SubaruDriver
Currently wondering if I am fighting what I believe to be an issue, that may just be physics. Used open loop boost control to have the car making 20.5psi tapering to about 15 at redline. In the mornings when it is about 55-65F ambient I see 20-21 psi consistently. Later during the day when ambient temperatures rise to 75-85 I see a boost pressure drop of 3-4 psi, a max boost level of 16-18psi. I know that this can be made up for using the IAT compensation but I am unsure if this is just a natural effect of air density, or if something is actually wrong. Thank you! Adamw
What type of solenoid are you using, what duty cycle and frequency are being commanded? Is boost more consistent if you disconnect the solenoid?
SubaruDriver
Mac valve (not a Chinese ripoff), 30 hz, 34.5 duty cycle. This is a VF IHI turbo
