GTB2000 Posted March 23, 2022 Report Share Posted March 23, 2022 Hi everyone, I have a Plugin Link G4 WRX5-6 using the factory cable throttle. I am wanting to go down the DBW route and was wondering if that is possible on this ECU. I understand that you can buy the e-throttle module which states it can be used with ''Plugin's and older G4 ECU's''. But will the ecu have enough I/O for DBW (pedal & throttle) even when using the expansion connector on the G4? Cheers Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Adamw Posted March 24, 2022 Report Share Posted March 24, 2022 You will certainly be a little tight for IO but should be ok assuming you dont have too much other non-factory sensors etc connected. You wont need the 6 wire idle stepper any more so that frees up 4 aux outputs. For analog inputs you have 2 on the expansion, the original TPS input and then you could repurpose either the old narrowband O2 sensor input or the MAF input. You will need to move one of the aux output wires off aux 1-4 to one of the other spare auxes to free up the correct ones for E-throttle.
