Phill A
Hi guys, I have a Link Monsoon g4x I'm trying to get to run a 4A in a KP60. Have a couple of issues I'm looking for some advice on, Was working on setup and got to the set the ignition timing part & found it doesn't spark on cranking, fires all the coils in test mode. I'm using the Link loom and the trigger wiring is set up as per the data supplied on the Link wiring info. Using trigerscope, 9 times out of 10 there is no trigger 2 pattern. Is there something in the trigger setup I've missed? TriggerScopeLog.llgx
essb00
Seems like you've got a loose contact for Trig 2. Pls post a copy of your tune file.

Tune fine = Link base map = *.pclx (the file currently loaded on the ECU).

essb00
Change the arming threshold as per below. That should be enough to make it start, if not try 360° trigger offset. *For trigger 2 if you used G2 it must be close to 0° trigger offset, if you used G1 it must be close to 360° trigger offset. Though you also need to verify the trigger offset and adjust accordingly using timing light once you've got it started.
Phill A
Changed the arming thresholds as per example, still no go. trigger offset is locked?
essb00
Click on set base timing. Under No. 2, put 360, press enter on keyboard (very important step) - the box should turn to blue. Then click done. Then try to start again.
Adamw
If still no go with essb00's suggestions, can you do another triggerscope too. The earlier one showed the ecu was ignoring some teeth, the arming thresholds suggested above should have solved that but would like to confirm. Phill A
Thanks guys, Got a spark to cyl 1 and managed to set timing to 10 degrees. Cranked it and got a large backfire so I pulled the offset back to 349deg. Got spark on 1 & 2 but none on 3 & 4, test function fires all the coils no problem. Current trigger scope attached, TriggerScopeLog#2.llgx
Adamw
Multitooth position should be cam (not crank) assuming you have the distributor base with the 24T wheel in it. essb00
