Adamw
If it is the 3 pin "smart charge" alternator then it doesnt need anything. With only the main battery cable connected and nothing else it will charge at about 14.5V. If you want an alternator light then just set up an aux output to switch on a lamp if battery voltage drops below say 12.7V or similar. Andy1205
Thank you so much, I believe this is the pinout for it, it would be great if thats all i have to do make my life so much easier
Adamw
Yep im sure thats the same one i've used. I dont know why they use the term "data link", they arent, one is just a PWM control signal from the ecu that changes the voltage set point (ie they charge at a higher voltage on a cold morning etc), the other is just an electrical load signal from the alternator to the ecu - probably used in part of the OEM idle control strategy. BURGESS.DJ
Hi there would this be the same as Mazda Mzr engine in NC MX5 ? As im having a couple of issues trying to get it to work on that vehicle trying to control the D terminal initially i started with the NB1/2 Plug in config but nothing is making any difference Running FURY X Latest Firmware Thanks
Adamw
Sounds like it. What voltage are you getting from it?
