fabiangt79
Hi, Anyone knows if links ecu will read defi sensors? EGT, fuel press, oil temp. If anyone has successfully connected defi sensors please share the setup for this 3 please. Thanks
Adamw
The ECU should have no trouble reading them but I suspect you will have trouble finding accurate calibration info for them.
koracing
EGT sensors require a controller of some type to provide output voltage that the ECU can interpret. Are you installing along with the DEFI gauges or gauge controller? Are you looking to set this up with sensor signals going to both the DEFI controller and the Link ecu? superstockneo
I’ve done with Defi pressure sensors no issues. They’re basically pretty generic 5v 10bar/150psi sensors. Just use the 150psi ti calibration from the dropdown in pclink. As for temp sensors I’m not so sure, i havent gone to the extent of measuring them yet. Like @koracing mentioned, you would need a controller that can output analog voltage signals for the ecu to interpret. i've used a reveltronics egt-k thermocouple amplifier. they are pretty affordable. fabiangt79
I have wire in the fuel pressure sensor, red to 5v, white to signal & black to sensor ground. Selected 150psi TI calibration, it was not accurate, read was at 338kpa before engine start, after started went to 442kpa.
Adamw
I always thought the defi EGT sensors were RTD's rather than thermocouples. If you unplug the sensor from the gauge and measure the resistance at room temperature, what is it?
fabiangt79
I only connect to the fuel pressure sensor

I am looking to remove my defi control unit and use the sensors as standalone with my g4x if it works.
