supra vvti wasted spark

My vvti 2jz blows out spark with high boost.Tried everything to solve this but still a problem.Next step is to run lq9 gm coils(ordered today).I will not use wasted spark anymore with those.Can I just change the ecu from wasted to direct and thats it or do I need other changes.Thanks Rune

lq9 installed and I run them in wasted spark.No blow out With oem gap on plugs.great idle:)
