Can't connect to ecu though laptop

Link g4+ monsoon wired into a honda da6 chassis with a b18c engine, the ecu uses a Mini USB to usb-a to plug into the laptop. Nothing shows in device manager, 2 cables including the usb mini breakout plug that lets you wire a usb would not connect, if i remove earth from the usb the laptop recognizes something as if without driver... (also several drivers were tried cp210x etc) really odd because the same laptop is used in a motorsport application in charge of multiple pdm's which rely on can bus and com port access. I also reset the com port list. All that and it can still be a cable issue....

Is it a G4+ or G4X?  If nothing shows in device manager then likely the USB chipset is faulty/damaged.  Contact [email protected] to have it inspected and repaired.
