RobGT4Fun Posted January 7, 2024 Report Posted January 7, 2024 Have a mostly OEM 3S GTE Gen3 in my Celica ST205 have replaced the OEM boost control with a 3-Port MAC. I have my Boost target set to 215kpa, but when I get to about 205-210kpa, its hitting an ignition cut somewhere and backfiring/dropping revs. I have looked around and can't figure out what's causing the cut. Protection is set to 216kpa. PC Datalog - 2024-01-7 1;15;56 pm.llgx Lucy-Gettinclose-16may.pclx Quote
Vaughan Posted January 7, 2024 Report Posted January 7, 2024 Your MAP Limit Limit Control Range is set to 5kPa so it will start cutting at 211kPa and you are hitting this limit. You are also hitting your RPM Limit twice in that log. Also as a side note your Lambda value doesn't follow the target very well in the ECU. Quote
RobGT4Fun Posted January 7, 2024 Author Report Posted January 7, 2024 So if I set protection to say 220, it should even out a bit. And yeah, made some changes, my fuel map is in progress. Had done some adjustment previously with a loose fitting upstream of the WBO2. Quote

dx4picco Posted January 9, 2024 Report Posted January 9, 2024 I would not put 1kpa difference between boost target and start cut of control range. more like 10 kpa. so boost limit = target + 10 kpa + controle range (here 5kpa) Quote
koracing Posted January 11, 2024 Report Posted January 11, 2024 I usually set limit at 3psi (~20kpa) over max target value myself. Quote
