Matt Howe Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Hi guys With the ability to trim fuel and ign per cylinder, it would be useful to have a better idea of what cylinder was knocking without the use of afr or egt probes on each header. Is there an easy way to program in a knock time window into the knock control system so that when the software detects a knock event it tell me what cylinder was the last one to fire? This would then make say pulling timing or adding that fuel into that cylinder an easy way to try and get things safe again. Cheers Matt Quote
Phil Williams Posted April 28, 2009 Report Posted April 28, 2009 Hi, Good news, knock detection and control is currently under development. Knock windowing resulting in the ability to detect knock per cylinder is a feature coming in future releases. Quote
Matt Howe Posted May 7, 2009 Author Report Posted May 7, 2009 Actually one other handy thing, you have probably thought of this already, but on some other tuning software (fcdatalogit) it can display a knock level for each cell. That would be well handy Quote
Stevieturbo Posted May 16, 2009 Report Posted May 16, 2009 A nice feature with knock detection would be.... If there is a ghost trace in action, use a notable colour change on this trace to indicate knock had ocured in that load cell. Just for fast and easy reference. Quote
Phil Williams Posted June 19, 2009 Report Posted June 19, 2009 The retard table sort of tells you this information, although the problem here is the clamping value. Anyhow this should give you some idea of where the motor has been knocking. Quote
Cameron Moore Posted September 7, 2009 Report Posted September 7, 2009 Hi Matt, Just a quick note to let you know the latest G4 Firmware (4.4.1) now has Knock windowing and Individual Cylinder Knock Ign Trim. -Cameron Quote
