srqff Posted March 30, 2024 Report Posted March 30, 2024 Ive read through a few of the forum posts and have tried a few versions of the PCLink software and I cant get the app to recognize the ECU to load in my first basetune. Ive tried 7.2.2 which i guess is for G5 and G4X? I also tried a legacy G4X software. Quote
Adamw Posted March 30, 2024 Report Posted March 30, 2024 So what message do you get if you click ok on the search for ecu screen in your 2nd pic? Quote

I got this figured out. Every time i clicked the ECU screen, it would search and never connect. Come to find out, I had a blown fuse for the fuel pump/SRS/ECM so the ECU wasn’t getting power. I found my source of the short, and the ECU connected right up once it was able to get power. Quote

I just got my G4X pnp ecu for my 2018 WRX STI and my initialization screen was similar to yours but was able to unlock my ecu with the authorization code from the seller and load up the baseman map. Was able to run my fuel pump during the test etc. Ngl the updated PC link was a lil confusing for me when it came to locating basemap. Then again I am also very new to tuning and the software. Quote
