Fuel level sender erratic

Hey, I a plug in link ecu and strada dash in my mini, I have wired the fuel level upto the dash directly and reads fine when stationary but when I have around half a tank and driving the reading is erratic and useless 

 

is there anyway to resolve this? Hoping to use the car for endurance racing so a reliable fuel reading is essential 

I understand I’ve asked this is an ecu section when I’ve wired it into the dash directly but the principal should be the same if it’s wired to ecu or dash?

There are configurable filters on the analog input in RS3, set it to 16 or 32sec.

Perfect thank you, I will give that a try and monitor it the next time I’m out testing the car
