fifty3bags Posted May 30, 2024 Report Posted May 30, 2024 I currently have an AEM UEGO gauge and sensor and want to ditch it for the Link CAN-Lambda. Looking at the Can-Lambda Instruction manual, the Deutsch connector requires power, ground, CAN L, and CAN H. Can the CAN bus 2 on the ecu be used for wiring this connector with the CANJST4 connection cable? Quote
Vaughan Posted May 30, 2024 Report Posted May 30, 2024 Assuming you have the JZX90 pnp then yes the CAN JST4 (https://dealers.linkecu.com/CANJST4) is the correct cable, if you have a different plugin then check how many pins your CAN plug has. Quote
castillaricardo Posted May 31, 2024 Report Posted May 31, 2024 @Vaughan Is it ok to connect the power and ground of the CAN Lambda directly to the CAN of these PnPs? I ask because I called Link support sometime ago and was recommended not to connect the power/ground this way because of the high current need of the heater circuit. I'm using the NB1 Plugin with the CAN JST4. Quote
Adamw Posted May 31, 2024 Report Posted May 31, 2024 The plug-in ECU's with the JST4 are designed to power a CAN lambda and other common CAN accessories directly from that port. CAN Lambda average current is typically less than 1.5A for most applications. The JST4 self-resettable fuse circuit is designed to provide 3A continuous (which is also the rated current for the JST connector) High-boost methanol or Ethanol engines running very rich mixtures might be an exception where you need to consider the lambda current exceeding what the JST4 fuse can provide but even then I suspect it would be ok. castillaricardo 1 Quote
