Back again, I will apologize in advance as Im not great with the Link G4 software or tuning. My tuner has been tuning the car without any knock control, we assumed it was due to the old stock sensor going bad, cause we werent seeing ANY knock info at all. So I purchased a New donut style  BOSCH style knock sensor and hooked it up, ran new deutsch connectors to them. However my tuner says that he still cannot see any readings, ( he is remote tuning ) so im hoping that some one from here can help point me in the right direction. Im not sure what he has tried at this point so im starting from scratch, he doesn't seem to concerned tuning without the knock sensor, said hes running very conservative timing for the car and we shouldn't have any issues. However I would like to try and get the reason im not seeing knock control figured out. Any help would be appreciated.  

 

 

Edit: Im running a 4G64 block with a 4G63 head. this is a 2.4L engine. And iam using a Bosch 0261231183 knock sensor

It wont allow me to upload the file cause its beyond the 424.37kb allowance  my tune file is 503kb

 

 

EDIT: I can try to take a screen shot of what youre wanting to see, and try to upload that? 424kb is pretty small.

That will be because you've used up most of your allowance with previous uploaded files, upload it to something like google drive or onedrive and share a link here please.

I'm initially wanting to look at the settings in the Knock Control folder.

You need to set your Cylinder table allocations adn then it should show noise readings between 3500rpm and 8000rpm over 40% TPS.

Personally I would recommend the "Normalised Ign" mode over the "Ignition Trims" mode as the normalised modes average noise making it easier to see sudden spikes than the non normalised modes which just show absolute noise, the help manual explains the differences further.

Below are the normalised knock settings from my evo7 with the stock sensor, it should be a decent starting point.  Set the retard limit to 0 initially so it doesnt interfere with the tuning.

Thanks for this! I'll pass this along, he was supposed to help me this evening, but I have yet to hear from him. But I will get back to you guys and let you know.

@Adamw my knock threshold looks a little different then yours it shows TPS main %  and the engine speed rpm as an X Y axis. what should the rest of them be?

The beauty of normalised mode is the engine noise is taken out of the equation, you are instead comparing a "learnt" noise level from the previous few combustion events to the current combustion event.  You will unlikely ever need a 3D threshold for normalised mode, in fact if you look at my table it is the same right across, you could get away with just a single cell set to 2.0.

@Adamw oh gotcha, alright I changed those. the cars been acting really wierd since i replaced my bunk IAT sensor, concerned im gona have to completely redo the fuel map. lots to try and figure out now. thank you for the help!
