Hello guys.
I am working on a Golf mk2 with a Link Atom. I did the exact same Project some months ago but the car was using a Maxx ECU. I copied all the values from it so i can have a good basemap.
The only issue i have is that i cannot use the same trigger settings as the Maxx ecu has offset of 0-720 degrees and Link -360 to 360. What offset should i use?
On the maxx i used 678 degrees offset.

And also i used an MX5 1.6 sensor on the Camshaft (4wires) for trigger and sync. Can you specify which one is it on Link Trigger mode?

(I will use the evo3 trigger mode for start as i think is the exact same type)

i would like your help just to save some time and the starter of the car :D

Thank you!

An explanation with the answer would be appreciated so i can understand better the trigger systems.

You need to calibrate this with a timing light, there is no guarantee that the Maxx uses the same 0 point and logic as the Link.

"Mazda MX5" for the 1.6 CAS triggers. Also note that because these can be rotated relative to the cam this is another reason you need to calibrate your trigger offset with a timing light.

The "Mitsubishi EVO 1-6" trigger pattern will also work yes.

Thanks for your answer!

i will calibrate my trigger for sure. But i just wanted to understand how the trigger logic and differences between these 2 . This car doesnt have a crank pulley with marks (i know i can put my own) to see where i am so i have to get really close to the trigger setup to check in the hole of the gearbox about the actual ignition timing so i can calibrate it.
