XSL Expansion Loom for V10 WRX104X ECU

I recently picked up the XSL expansion loom to add some additional analogue temp sensor.

Upon looking at my ECU motherboard (224-4000) It shows that there are only 5 pins that are connected through the motherboard.

Upon looking online for a pinout I found a few more pictures of the XSL expansion with additional pins.

 

My question is what happened to the other pins? And can I attach other functions (i.e. DI, Aux, etc...) to these "no function" pins or am I stuck with only five pins?

They won't have anything wired to them, if you are wanting more outputs then some of the outputs going through the main header could be repurposed such as Inj 5 (Purge Solenoid), Inj 7 (Rear O2 heater) or Aux 7&8 if your remove the TGV.
