cbDrift Posted July 28, 2024 Report Posted July 28, 2024 so if your base duty cycle is say 50 and if your wastegate duty trim against IAT is currently -10% and if your current boost is less than the target boost does the ecu take the base duty cycle - do the pid stuff and then apply the trims? or does the ecu take the base duty cycle - apply the trims and then do the pid stuff? Adamw Posted July 28, 2024 Report Posted July 28, 2024 A PID control system applies its correction terms based purely on "target error". For boost control the target error is "Boost target" - "Boost Source". The feed-forward (Base duty cycle from wastegate DC% and wastegate trim tables) has no influence on the PID terms, these just determine the base DC value before closed loop correction is added. cbDrift 1 Quote
