im curious if i have the vtc setting correct as there is only k20 in the drop down to select and i have k24 with oem vtc cam gear, and i noticed the (inlet fully rtd possition) is set to zero, im aware the k20 and k24 have different vtc angles 50* & 25*, so would the fully rtd possitin be the same between the two ? is it actually zero or is there a number i should be closer to for k24 or am i just not understanding this 100% ?

thanks!

The K20 mode will work for your engine, this "mode" just sets some basic fundamentals such as how many solenoids there are and some default PID and base DC values.

The "fully retarded position" is just a user preference on how the data is displayed/calculated.  Most tuners leave the "fully retarded position" set to 0, this means "0" cam position is home against the mechanical stop and your target is just how much you want to advance from home.

In contrast, an engine developer for example would input the measured cam lobe centerline angle as the "fully retarded position", so then in the target table they can specify what lobe centerline angle they want.

thank you for the detailed explanation, looks like ill just be leaving it at zero
