Frm_Zero7d9 Posted July 31, 2024 Report Posted July 31, 2024 Hello, For my GM ethanol sensor to connect to my WRX104X 224-4000 LINK ECU, which ECU pin can I use for the signal of the ethanol sensor? I heard that it had to be a Digital input with a pull-up resister for temperature? Is this correct? All of my DIs are taken up by things I need in the ECU. (picture for reference) Quote
Vaughan Posted July 31, 2024 Report Posted July 31, 2024 Ethanol sensor has to be wired to a DI input as the data from the sensor comes in the form of a PWM signal with one piece of data being specified by the frequency adn the other piece of data being specified by the width of each pulse. DI9 (Neutral signal) could be repurposed for ethanol sensor input. Quote
Frm_Zero7d9 Posted July 31, 2024 Author Report Posted July 31, 2024 Is the the D9 pin "neutral signal" the neutral signal of the manual transmission when its in neutral? Can that "neutral signal" be moved to an Aux pin/line? Quote

It is a Digital Input not an Aux, do you can it be moved to an expansion plug? You can access the wire by the ECU header, by the gearbox or Servicing could most likely add some extra wires soldered to the ECU to make DI 3 or DI 11 externally connectable. Quote

Frm_Zero7d9 Posted August 1, 2024 Author Report Posted August 1, 2024 Ah! yes, I understand what you mean now. Thank you for the clarification Quote
Harold C Posted August 22, 2024 Report Posted August 22, 2024 Hi guys, I am currently trying to configure my ECU to read information about ethanol % and temperature for multi blend purpose. I want to use IGNITION 5 & 6 output to deliver ground and +14V to the Ethanol sensor - (if possible), as below : I set DI-9 as input information that comes from the sensor with "pull-up resistor to ON and the Active Edge to Rising" as explained in the help file. My concern is about Ign 5 and Ign 6. I don't know how to configure them in order to get ground and +14V. (if feasible) During my testing (with e85), I saw on a record something but did not last long, and information seems to be incorrect (note that I have fuel temp through another fuel sensor): Did someone know how to configure IGNITION output to do this ? Thank you in advance Harold C Quote
Frm_Zero7d9 Posted August 22, 2024 Author Report Posted August 22, 2024 Hey Harold! For what its worth, I also used DI-9 for my signal but I used the +14V source from the front O2 sensor's ignition relay; which is 14V. I didn't know we had to pull- up resistor to ON, and the active edge to RISING. This helps in setting up my Et-OH sensor, thank you! Quote
