Jayso
Hi there Im new to aftermarket ecu's and have a few questions before purchasing a G4x Wrxlink v11 plug in for my vehicle. Regarding keys, the vehicle has a key fob with push button start. In the case of lost keys etc, are these still able to be replaced/reprogrammed through the dealer through the OBD2 port? Will the Air conditioning and cruise control work as factory? Im going to use a Link 3 bar map sensor can i re-pin the factory wiring for the 3 bar sensor without adding any additional wiring? Any help would be appreciated (P.s the vehicle is a NZ new STI) Cheers

As far as I know the ECU has no part in the fob/immobiliser programming, but I dont know of anyone that has lost all keys and has had to start from scratch either, so there is a small unknown there. You could always plug the factory ecu back in if it were needed for some reason. 6 hours ago, Jayso said: Will the Air conditioning and cruise control work as factory? Cruise does, AC does function correctly on every car I have tested personally (and those were mostly NZ new and JDM models), but I've had a couple of overseas users on the forum where they said the AC didnt cycle on/off in auto mode, so im not 100% confident it is correct on all models. If it didnt work correctly on your car then it might be a good opportunity for me to investigate since it sounds like you are at least in the same country. 6 hours ago, Jayso said: Im going to use a Link 3 bar map sensor can i re-pin the factory wiring for the 3 bar sensor without adding any additional wiring? Although that would be perfectly fine, most of the cars I tested had a 3 bar sensor from factory so you may not need to change anything. I do remember one NZ new car that had a lower pressure MAP sensor but it was a bit of an odd model, it was badged as an STI, around 2017 from memory but it had small 2pot brakes and only a 5spd.
