Pierburg CWA400 - LIN or OEM BMW options with PWM control?

Hi all,

Have read through this thread - which answered most of my questions. However - the newer aftermarket pumps no longer have the PWM input (only LINbus) as I understand it?

So - is there an option to communicate with the pump over the bus using some kind of CAN adapter?

Or...does any one know if the OEM BMW versions retain the PWM input (IE, if I buy an aftermarket pump for an X5, would it have the input available?)

Some information here, but I'd want to be sure before I went ahead...

Thanks David, that's interesting - are there specific part numbers which have PWM control, or some other way to tell in advance?

I am still buying and using CWA 200 and CWA 400 pumps with PWM control.  They are readily available, and will be for years to come to support existing cars in the marketplace.

Thanks David - it hadn't crossed my mind that you could buy directly from tecomotive, but certainly seems like they'll ship me a PWM unit directly.

With the BMW part numbers, I wasn't sure if BMW ever used PWM to control them (IE, if they the vendor simply started supplying the same part number as LIN only, it wouldn't matter as an OEM replacement.
