Reece Bartholomew
G'day guys is it possible to setup LS1 coil packs on a link g4 plugin for RB26? as they are alot cheaper than purchasing aftermarket RB26 coilpacks and there is no need for an ignitor which is another part which is prone to fail cheers
Scott
Hi Reece, Yes, the LS1 coils with built in ignitors should work well. You will need to take your ECU ignition output directly to each LS1 coil pack. Good luck with the swap, Scott
Reece Bartholomew
http://pictureposter.audiworld.com/15624/ls2_coil_schematic.jpg so the ignition output from the ecu would go to the green © on there? what else would i need to hook up as the RB26 coils are only 3 pin and i cant seem to find a diagram cheers
Scott
Hi Reece, Yep that should work. I had a quick look and am not having much luck finding a wiring diagram for the Nissan coils either. However I imagine that the 3 wires are: 1, Ignition switched power 2, Signal from ECU 3, Earth (GND) On the picture you linked to above, Pin D is going to be the ignition switched power, Pin C is going to be the Signal from the ECU and Pin A will be earth. I would say that pin B will also require an earth. Scott.
