Scott
Hi Nana, To address your questions: 1) No, the G4 Atom is not capable of variable cam timing control. For cam control you would need the G4 Storm or Xtreme. 2) You can set the RPM limit on a G4 Atom anywhere up to 20,000 RPM, obviously your engine will only go as high as its mechanical limitations allow. 3) I have no idea on what the power increase would be. Perhaps someone who has worked with the K20a will have some feedback. 4) By AT do you mean Automatic Transmission? If so, no, the G4 ECUs do not have any transmission control. Cheers, Scott. Scott
Hi Nana, Yes, the G4 Storm can control your I-VTEC. To have a read on setting this up in the G4 Storm and Xtreme see PCLink help PCLink Help > G4 ECU Tuning Functions > VVT controls The G4 Xtreme has a lot more inputs and outputs than the G4 Storm, and also has built-in Knock detection and control. Cheers, Scott.
nana
hi scott, i feel very disappointed to link tuner and dealer  in hkg, as i paid not cheap for buying the storm and tunning service. they can only improve the low /mid rpm performance a few. but they cannot work for the VVTL wire and function, they said locked, can release! even the limit of speed 180KM, they also cannot fulfil my wants..... they said sorry ....cannot remove limit of 180KM. did hkg ve any link tuner is professional???? they gave me the  result was.....i better to buy the cheap V-manage, E-manage! as i knew LINK Storm is also powerful, but the seller is  not willing to do , they just connect around 10pcsof  wires from the ecu for my car, or they no ve knowlegde to do it, but they still charge expensive tunning fee................ if i want to release 180km limit, which wire did i need to connect from storm ??? as i can find out limit function from pc link with storm.  thanks!!!!
Scott
Hi Nana, Sorry to hear of your bad experience. Do you have a wiring diagram for your honda? If you can give me a link to the correct wiring diagram I can likely give you advice on how to adjust the speed limiter. Kind regards, Scott. nana
Hi Scott, today, i ve tried to use pc link to connect and read the storm. as i read the error event log, below is repeated cont...., ECU Fault Code 46:An temp 2 above errow high value. ECU Fault Code 11:An Volt 1 below Erroe Low Value. Ecu Fault Code 14: An Volt 2 below errow Low value. they are repeated and repeated at idle speed. isnt it no big problem?  and i ve copy the data from pc link for my car. i hope they ve wiring the i-vtec control and make it open at 3500RPM.it is what i requested from the poor shop " Fuel Tank".  but i can guess they didnt. could i send u the data file and pls read it??? so u can knew what the dealer in hkg ve provide to his customer, i paid hk$ 17000 for tuning and the storm. sorry for distribut u , but i m real no one can give me a hand in hkg. sorry!!!! Scott
Hi Edwin, You can send your base-map and the wiring diagram (if you find one) to [email protected]. I can then have a look at the variable valve timing setup. In PCLink if you click on the red text of the warning error, the fault codes tab will open. From there you can delete the fault codes and clear the events. If the fault codes come back after this then there are two possibilities. 1. You have some faulty sensors 2. The AN Volt Fault settings are setup incorrectly. The most likely option is number 2. You can check by going to ECU Settings > Analog > Analog fault settings and looking at the values for An Temp 2, An Volt 1 and An Volt 2. The numbers required depend upon the sensor type, but most work well with the following Error High: 4.95 volts Error Low: 0.05 volts The actual error value will depend on the sensor type. Scott. nana
Hi Scott, I ve relased the storm since the storm made diificulty to start the engine with the stepper, it happened after 3months of storm installed, but after i ve release the storm without any repair, it is 100% alright with more than 2months and until now . isnt the ground wire or +14V wire was not good connected? and the main problem why i relased it i? it make my car difficult to reach the top speed of car....., the dealer only made it ve a fewof power going up at low to mid rpm, but after the rpm ve passed to mid rpm, it seem power was stayed and poorer than normal wiitout storm. car is easy and smooth to reach its speed limit about 178KM now. but it was relased the storm and run with orginal ecu only................. Sorry for that, i will go with E-manage again, since i was cheated by some poor of seller. Thanks! Nana
