alan martin
Hi folks i have an older link which i believe to be a G1. The manual says LEMV1 and the sticker on the ecu says GMECO D42GMECO 290402 its running a 2.2 gm ecotec (marinised) and i'm having starting problems. So i bought a serial link and a usb -> serial adapter to see if i can get better diagnostics. But PCLINK cant see the ecu. I installed the adapter drivers and i'm choosing com4 which is the adapter in devices. Also checked fifo setting is correct. Running windows XP. Any hints as to what i can do to troubleshoot. Simon
Hi Unfortunately the firmware (D42GMECO) is not PC tunable so will not connect to PC. Will have to be tuned using a tuning module.
