Mike Turner
What do people think Steering is pulse driven Any ideas Thanks
Stevieturbo
The question is a lot on the vague side. What are you trying to do, or what have you already done ?
Mike Turner
Hi removed all wiring from my r33 Now i need to get steering working again Can we take speed from speedo and use one of the spare pulse outputs to set up pulse for steering. Differant speeds differant pulse signals etc.
Stevieturbo
Assuming the steering controller takes a normal PWM output then that sounds possible. But do you know exactly what signal the factory ecu sent to the steering controller ? Was it a PWM or a variable voltage ? Or did the speed signal simply go directly to the steering controller ? Or was the ecu itself the steering controller ?
Jurgen Biggelaar
Mike. Stevieturbo is on to it. You would set up firstly a DI as a speed input, and then an AUX as a GP PWM. Make it a single row table with the axis set up as speed. The numbers that go in the table will be the PWM duty cycle... this is a pulse width, NOT frequency, and that you will have wired off to the steering set up if... 1. It works on pulse width 2. You know the cal, or are prepared to figure it out Jurgen
