JONATHAN BROPHY Posted August 15, 2007 Report Share Posted August 15, 2007 dont know if it can be done but be able to use a capacitive proximity probe in one of the analogue inputs to display on the link display distance from the fulla behind you trying to pass you on the race track not really a proformance orientated thing tho. ashesman Posted August 16, 2007 Report Share Posted August 16, 2007 Most of the time capacitive and inductive proximity sensors are ON/OFF devices that just indicate if an object is within range or not. Usually for distance measurement, sonar sensors are used. I am not aware of any sonar sensors that output the 0-5V that is required for an analog input. If you could find a device that generates a 0-5V signal based on distance then it can be done...
