Lunar Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 I am working on a 1998 Audi A4 1.8T with AEB engine. It has a cable operated throttle but an idle speed control motor connected to it through gears. Is it possible to setup Linkplus G3 to work with this type of idle control please? Quote
Simon Posted March 18, 2008 Report Posted March 18, 2008 This is the one form of Idle control we can not operate. Your best bet will be to look at fitting a conventional air bypass solenoid. Quote
Lunar Posted March 19, 2008 Author Report Posted March 19, 2008 Could you tell me what the exact problem is? Quote
Simon Posted March 20, 2008 Report Posted March 20, 2008 The motor is a DC motor and we do not have the hardware to drive this. Quote
Lunar Posted April 9, 2008 Author Report Posted April 9, 2008 Does anyone knows what type of cam sensor this AEB engine has please? How should it be wired up and setup in PClink software? Quote
Simon Posted April 9, 2008 Report Posted April 9, 2008 There is a very good chance it will be a hall effect sensor. The thing to look for is if in the factory application the sensor had a power supply to it. If it did then it will be a hall or optical sensor. Simon Quote
Lunar Posted April 10, 2008 Author Report Posted April 10, 2008 Yes, it is Hall effect. Factory power supply is 5v. Cam trigger wheel has one slot in it. Should triggering edge be set to "falling" in this case? Quote
