Mitch Ennis Posted October 26, 2014 Report Posted October 26, 2014 I have transferred engine , g4 extreme and wiring from one car to another. I just got it started  (it was running rough) than it stopped the efi fuse had blown and the fuel pump was not working  so I turned the ignition off and on again and the fuel pump didn't prime after replacing the fuse. Using a multimeter the aux 1 (fuel pump) and aux2 (engine fan) are all reading 12v. have I blown the ecu or can it be repaired? It still talks to the laptop and still seems to be functioning  with respect to that. Quote
Simon Posted October 29, 2014 Report Posted October 29, 2014 The Aux drives will read 12V unless the switching conditions are meet. ie while the fan or fuel pump are running the drive will then be at ground. When you turn the key off do you still have connection to the PC software? If you do you have a back feed causing the ECU to stay powered. This will stop the fuel pump from priming. Quote
