Alastair pye Posted January 21, 2014 Report Posted January 21, 2014 I am installing a G4 plug in into my friends mx5 mk1 supercharged and everything seems fine apart from the IAT is showing 100c (max) all the time , i am using a universal sensor from efiparts.co.uk and have entered the calibration into cal table 2 and selected for the sensor to use that table, the sensor is wired from the ecu to the iat then earthed along with the rest of the sensors back to the ecu , i am sure i have missed something could anyone shed any light ?? also i have not investigated this properly yet but when cranking the car it backfires and does not start , the ecu has  been on an mx5 in the past but it was a turbo not a supercharged . any help much appreciated thanks Quote
Scott Posted January 22, 2014 Report Posted January 22, 2014 I think the most likely possibility is that your AN Temp channels fault values are not setup correctly. The ECU has a system where by if an ECU goes too high or too low in voltage it will use a default value. This default value, along with the high and low voltage limits can be configured. You will find it under ECU Setting > Analog Inputs and then right down the bottom of the Analog Input section, it is called 'Fault Settings. Check here and change the values if needed for the AN Temp channel you are connected to. Scott Quote
