ashesman Posted September 13, 2007 Report Posted September 13, 2007 I assume that you are talking about an older stile V4 ECU (not V4 subaru?). On older ECU's I think the overrun fuel cut was hard coded. If there is nothing available on the tuning module to adjust it then the answer is no, it cant be adjusted... Alex Cavaliere Posted October 30, 2007 Author Report Posted October 30, 2007 hello Ashley can the overrun fuel cut only to 3300 RPM damage the engine because gasoline is injected and wash the oil of the cylinderwall ???? wath i can do for minimize this ??? thanks Alex Quote
ashesman Posted October 31, 2007 Report Posted October 31, 2007 Overrun fuel cut is not designed to stop bore washing. It is designed to stop fuel wastage and bad emissions during overrun. The fuel will not wash the bores as the spark is still there, so the fuel gets burnt as normal. If you are worried about some of the inadequacies of the old V4 ECU, perhaps you would consider upgrading to a G3 ECU...
