Hey,

Just in the process of wiring up an RB30det, and was wondering if it is possible to use the g4 ecu to monitor the oil pressure and protect the motor should oil pressure drop to damaging levels. Wether it be by putting the motor into a limp mode and display a warning light etc?

I'm asking as I've been told its possible to have a limiter come in if the air fuel ratio goes outside of set minimum/maximum values, and thought it could be useful for oil pressure too.

Any suggestions would be great.

Thanks

Yes you can set a GP limit to be based on oil pressure.

This can be set up to limit to a low engine speed or a total engine cut.
