Cameron Moore Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 Hi Robin, I assume you are using a Serial Link to connect to it, does the Serial Link work with other ECUs? D42V4 is PC Link compatible, so it should connect. -Cameron Quote
Cameron Moore Posted August 30, 2012 Report Posted August 30, 2012 Hi Robin, Are you using a serial cable, or USB to serial? Is the Serial Link plugged in before you power up the ECU? Are you using PC Link V2.5? -Cameron Quote
Preston black Posted December 27, 2012 Report Posted December 27, 2012 Hey i'm having the same problem with my G1 in my forester. The pc doesn't register that the usb is plugged in. Do i need to download another program for it to work? Quote
Simon Posted January 9, 2013 Report Posted January 9, 2013 Are you using a usb to serial converter and a seriallink or do you have one of the old ComLink devices? Quote
Simon Posted September 12, 2013 Report Posted September 12, 2013 When using a USB to serial converter it needs its own drivers to work as a virtual com port. When the converter is plugged in to the PC it should assign a com port number to the device. This COM # will need to be lower than com 10 You can check this through device manager. Quote
