Guest |229|
Hi all. Which car make should I choose in the list when setting up VVT on a RB25DET series 1 engine. I cant find my car. rayhall
The VVT options in the software selection are for Variable Valve Timing, and not cams that switch positions. The RB25 does not have a VVT cam. To control the cam a GP Output is used. The conditions for the switching are then setup. Ray.
Guest |229|
Thanks. But cant I choose CAM selonoid instead og GP output?
rayhall
No, as Cam Solenoid is only for VVT cams. Ray.
Guest |300|
YES you can use "Cam Solenoid" for the RB25DET's cam advance. The VVT is for fully variable cams , and hence it does not apply to the RB25DET's on/off operation. The "cam solenoid" drop down box in the Aux out , is exactly the same as GP Output , its just called Cam Solenoid to help identify things ! rayhall
Gary, You are correct. I was thinking about VVT Solenoid, when Cam Solenoid was mentioned...
