Simon Posted September 11, 2009 Report Share Posted September 11, 2009 Map limit should be a little bit higher than the maximum boost you wish to run. It is a safety limit should the wastegate or control of fail. If you are not running a turbo or supercharger then any value above atmosphere will be fine. Cameron Moore Posted September 15, 2009 Report Share Posted September 15, 2009 Hi Daniel, That is your MAP Value, 88 at rest is 'atmosphere' and at 50 your engine is pulling vacuum (<88) while idling. If you are running a turbo or supercharger and were running upto 15psi boost (200kPa) you would set the limit just above that at 205kPa.
