bman Posted January 20, 2017 Report Posted January 20, 2017 Running into an issue with Idle Control Valve (ICV) setup on s54.We are presented with two options in setup: 4 wire -or- 6 wire for the stepper motor. The ICV however is 3 wire.I saw a reference to an oem modification fix here at this link but the attached file is missing. Appreciate any help, thanks. Quote
integrale8v Posted January 20, 2017 Report Posted January 20, 2017 This is one option, with this setup you just use one aux output: Quote
Adamw Posted January 20, 2017 Report Posted January 20, 2017 (edited) Or provided you have 2 aux outs available, it will probably be tidier to do it like this: Edited January 20, 2017 by Adamw spelling Quote
integrale8v Posted January 21, 2017 Report Posted January 21, 2017 Or provided you have 2 aux outs available, it will probably be tidier to do it like this:the Bmw s54 uses aux1-4 on the Vanos (vvt) solenoids. Quote
Simon Posted January 23, 2017 Report Posted January 23, 2017 With the dual Vanos all aux 1-4 channels are used which then makes the need to use some external hardware to allow the stock solenoid to be used.PDF attached is the equivalent of what is above. 3 Wire ISC with 1 Aux.pdf Quote

(ecu G4+ xtrem) or there is now a simpler way? Quote
Adamw Posted July 10, 2021 Report Posted July 10, 2021 Yes, you will need to use the same trick with G4+, or change to a two wire idle valve. dx4picco 1 Quote
