dee242
hey i bought a used link g4+ unit and was told its a gtr link but i opened it up and it is a 300z link can i run this ecu or will i have problems
Adamw
They are quite similar so you will be able to make it work with some changes to the wiring. From memory the main difference is because of the firing order, so injector drives 2,4,5,6 are on different pins and same with ignition channels 2,4,5,6. Most of the other differences are subtle such as the DI's for A/C, powersteer and a couple of the auxes which can probably just be swapped in the software. I will have a closer look on Monday and confirm. Remind me if I dont post back here on Monday. dee242

Adamw
Sorry, I knew I would forget after the weekend...Ok, so below is a list of what I can see are the main differences. Most of it we can take care of with just settings changes to the ECU. The 3 pins highlighted in orange are the one you need to take care of.The injector/ignition drive differences I took care of by fudging the firing order in the software. Attached is a map with most of these differences re-assigned and firing order modified. The only thing I didnt bother to set up is fuel pump speed control since I dont know what model car you have and if you still have the FP controller. The fuel pump will just run at full speed all the time with this map. 300Z Xtreme Plugin fitted to GTR.pclr Edited August 29, 2017 by Adamw C.A.M.

dee242
so with this map i will not have to change any of the settings just calibrate setup injectors and wired in auxillarys and go
Adamw
You will need to fix the 3 wires I highlighted in orange above. That should be about all.
dee242
Okay perfect I'm getting 3 fault codes ant3 at 5v but I'm not using the expansion harness and anv4 at ground anv4 is the link iat sensor i think I may have the polarity reversed I have the iat wired into the mag signal but I realized I am going to have to put it over to pin
Adamw
Ant3 is normally the IAT on a GTR, if you dont have that then turn ant3 off. Anv4 is normally the oxygen sensor, but it was turned of in the map I gave you above. Have you connected an IAT sensor to this?
dee242
Yes I connected iat to anv4 Witch pin should I connect my aem uego wideband too as well I currently have it to the stock signal location for the rb25 o2 sensor
Adamw
If you connect a temp sensor to a volt input then you will need to add an external pullup resistor, info below. It will be easier to use a temp input.
dee242
1 code an v6 at gnd but that's just my stock o2 sensor And an t3 at 5v

Adamw
Turn off AN Temp 3 if you dont have anything connected to it.For AN volt 6, check the error low value is set to 0V.
dee242
Only got one code now anv6 I did set it to 0 started it up and drove it runs on 7ms for master fuel trim dies on anything higher or lower also have no power steering now
Adamw
As far as I know the ECU doesnt control the power steering at all in these cars so your problem is likely elsewhere.

Simon
You currently have NA volt 5 assigned as PSteer Switch not wideband. The Function would need to be changed to Lambda 1 for the input you are using.AN volt 4 and AN volt 6 are the stock O2 inputs you could use one of these.
