Brad May Posted February 2, 2018 Report Posted February 2, 2018 I have a 6/71 blower with 8 port injectors running as semi sequential (only have an atom with 4 drives). I want to add 1 or two injectors above the blower to help cool it. Is my best option just splice into 1 or 2 of the port injectors? Thanks Quote
ClintBHP Posted February 3, 2018 Report Posted February 3, 2018 What do you want to cool it with? If fuel how will you meter it ? Could water/methanol injection be an option ? Then you can use an AUX output and 2 fuel tables. Quote
Ken Dunkley Posted February 4, 2018 Report Posted February 4, 2018 I believe with high impedance injectors - Each drive can power 3 injectors .. Quote
Brad May Posted February 5, 2018 Author Report Posted February 5, 2018 Thanks, yea I just thought adding a couple of injectors also running off the main fuel rail, so essentially running 10 injectors instead of 8, so they will add to the overall map. I also intend to add water/meth as well, but would prefer some fuel going through all the time. Quote

I would think that should work ok, I would add two injectors above the blower in a relatively central location and connect them to drives that are firing 360 degrees apart, that will give you the best chance of uniform mixture from cycle to cycle. Ken Dunkley Posted February 5, 2018 Report Posted February 5, 2018 Hey Brad - Just asking -Are you running true semi sequential ? With injectors firing in 4 groups of 2 ? If you are can i suggest you run maybe 4 smaller sized injectors at the blower inlet - That way you are getting a more consistent flow of cooling fuel through the rotors . Quote
mapper Posted February 5, 2018 Report Posted February 5, 2018 just a side note. your IAT Sensor will not read right anymore because the vaporization on the sensor will cool it down. Consequently its hard to measure in terms of temperature what effect the injection will have. Quote
Brad May Posted February 6, 2018 Author Report Posted February 6, 2018 Yes currently true semi sequential . Have not started it like this, but that's how I had it wired previously. Thanks for the advice, I may look at doing that. Yea the iat was never accurate as before all the fuel was on top of the blower Quote
