Hx30power Posted May 13, 2018 Report Posted May 13, 2018 Hi all please can someone help me with an issue I have?. I have a link g4+ on my boosted civic. Which I have fitted k20 ignition coils. When I test and crank the coils the fire the plugs but when I put my timing light in line r to the plug my light does not flash I have now tried 3 lights all work on other cars. It's the first start up since the build and cannot set ignition timing. Also I have a trigger wheel installed on the crank. Thank you in advance. Quote

Are you using a temporary HT lead between the coil and plug? If it was using the original honda distributor/coil before the change to K20 coils, have you changed the spark edge to falling? Quote
Hx30power Posted May 14, 2018 Author Report Posted May 14, 2018 Thank you for the response. I have removed the coil and put a temp ht lead fro. The coil to the plug with the clamp in line. The set up is falling. Ignition delay 65us and the dwell is 1.0ms. Quote
Adamw Posted May 14, 2018 Report Posted May 14, 2018 1.0ms dwell might be a bit light. Try a dwell table more like below. You could also open up the plug gap temporarily to get make a bigger spark which should help trigger the timing light.: Quote
