Jeffersonc
Some thoughts on what I should set my base injector timing at? Engine is an RB25 but with adaptor plates (1'' in thickness total) mating RB26 ITBs and intake setup. This lengthens the intake runners and moves the injector location further back. In base maps the GTR RB26 is set at 390 deg BTDC, where as the GTT RB25 is set at 400 deg BTDC.
rrob
I find low 400's works well at idle and light load. Usually have to chase the VCT a bit with inj timing also.
Jeffersonc
Roughly what direction does the injector timing move once VCT activated?
Leiden
You'd want to increase it since the VCT opens the intake valves earlier. So VCT off you'd have say 400deg, with VCT on you'd have 430-440ish. From memory it advances the cam about 20deg (40 crank deg)
