  1. I have my MINI Cooper running R53 Vipec Plugin ECU Vipec part #VPBM, Rev 1.1. Can I update it to the latest firmware? - VTS V4.10.2.1784 (24-06-14)? I was not completely sure if I can. Thank you in advance!
  2. Having checked my car - I can confirm the tach is off by ~ 200 -300 rpm even @ 3000 rpm - compared with the readout on the ViPEC software.
  3. I was looking for anything else I could state that would be helpful and realised looking at the idle load trims - if the engine fan comes on, the ecu does apply the additional fuel to assist the idle. However turning on the AC and engaging the compressor clutch does not apply the trim - pointing another finger that the ECU is not seeing the AC request.
  4. Thanks Simon - Just let me know what I can do to aid you in figuring out a solution.. I have sent my map to support as you requested with the subject ATTN:Simon
  5. Hi Simon - I double checked the digital inputs and NONE are configured to AC. I also am attaching the runtime screens so you can see the AUX 6 never changes state when I engage the AC clutch / disengage it via switching the POLARITY setting
  6. What wiring information do you require ... I can look it up.. Thanks. FYI - when I look at the Runtime Values - under the Digital Inputs tab, DI 6 says Air ConRequest and the state is OFF. It remains OFF no matter if the AC is on and working or if I change the polarity to disengage the compressor clutch.
  7. I have a 2002 MINI Cooper S. It has the standard A/C not the automatic climate control. I have the R53 Vipec Plugin ECU Vipec part #VPBM, Rev 1.1 I have been having a problem with the ECU controlling the AC compressor clutch. When the POLARITY is set to LOW and the AC turned on - no cooling occurs. Setting the POLARITY to HIGH turns on the AC by engaging the clutch and the air is cooled. The problem I have been having is that turning off the AC via the AC button or turning off the fan does not switch off the AC compressor clutch, it remains engaged. I know this because with an ambient temperature of approximately 30C the air coming through the vents with the AC off is in the mid to low teens. In traffic the car will idle fine however since the AC clutch is still engaged, the compressor continues to compress the refrigerant to the point that the AC system starts hissing and the car begins to stall due to the compressor over pressurizing the AC system. I have done the same tests with the POLARITY set to LOW and have no ill effects except I also have no AC air. I have attached my AC clutch settings, any help would be appreciated in solving this issue as it is the only thing that has me unhappy with the ECU.
