Guest |95| Posted July 7, 2008 Report Share Posted July 7, 2008 I am slated to have a plug and play Vipec unit slated to be installed in my car in two weeks. My tuner recommended the system, but is currently not avaiable to answer some questions. Is there knock control/reaction capability with this unit? Can the cruise control function be retained? Are there separate peieces needed for the DBW throttle? Will any computerized braking functions be affected by this switch - ABS or EBD? Thank you! rayhall Posted July 7, 2008 Report Share Posted July 7, 2008 Yes the knock control works, and will retard timing on knock. You will loose the cruise control. There are no plans to add this feature.
