High idle

Hi i have Mitsubishi RVR Hyper sport 97 and we have just put the evo3 v44 in it . And it plugs in and now it is tuned and runs great only one problem . With the air con , if we turn air con off in the ecu its great , but if we turn it on and soon as you turn it off at the climat control the idle gos up and down . And soon as you turn it back on its all good.

Dont know what it is .

The values in the base position idle duty table need to be tuned, so they are very close to the Idle Position duty, that is shown in the Aux outputs real time data at the bottom of the screen. If the values are not correct the PID logic needs to pull the idle speed back to the required rpm when the AC is turned off.

As your car has a stepper idle valve the settings in the position idle duty table are the number of steps from fully open, not fully closed. This means small number gives high idle speeds not low. Example:- If the idle position in the real time data shows 50 when the engine is idling with the AC off and no fans running, then set the value in the table as a bigger value. About 10%.

If you have problems setting this up, get your dealer to do this for you.
