  1. Yeah I get that and the need to find a base, gain, tune tables and action(retard or fuel cut)

to clarify I was stating if I turn the car on and rev slightly standing still while knock control is on, If i see a graph then it confirms the link ecu is plugged into the factory knock sensors which I believe the answer is yes from your earlier post:)

  2. Thanks

mine is g4 + plug in.i am going to see if it works with factory sensors, I do think rb25 have knock sensors on the block just not sure if it is connected

in link, would these be recognised as input such as analouge or digital or no it is seen as sensor if using the original wiring for plug in?

  3. Hi All,

I have an r34 gtt and want to setup knock control as realised it was not setup by my tuner.

Car is quite load with forge engine, how would I find the target and gain to set this up?

When I look at the option to setup this, I can see three ways, use existing knock sensor as analouge input, I don't think link supports this , use link internal knock sensor or external.

re internal knock sensor, how does this work ? is there a cable of some sort for link to recognise ping / knock ?

re extrnal sensors, what are my options ?

  4. just done this many time today and abs stays on constant. i drove 30 kmh and done it many times

i have maxicom and it does have skyline but it is obd port

I have bought the 14 pin obd1 to obd 2 to see if I can get it to scan.

  5. Hi all

link ECU installed with no abs sensor wired into ecu. All was fine for a year and abs light came on recently

I access link via original usb cable and consult is still there however can't read any ecu from consult

hicas unplugged and had datascan software but hicas nor ecu can not br read obviously as they are non existent

any idea what I should do?

    Hi All,

The developers of RealDash have been working with us to make their app compatible with Link ECU's.  It is now compatible.

For those that havent seen it you can learn more here: http://www.realdash.net/

In my short play it seems to work well and has lots of cool features.  Lap timing, navigation, configurable alarms, live graphs, live streaming of data, music player, etc.  The app and a selection of basic "skins" are totally free, then there are some more fuller featured paid for "premium skins" that do more stuff such as data logging and may look cooler these are still relatively cheap ranging about $3-$10.  One example below.

Right now it wont work on the Atom, Monsoon, Kurofune or Black Storm as the serial stream is not enabled in those ECU's but we hope to enable that setting in the next couple of months.  Right now it will work in the Blue Storm, Xtreme, Fury, Thunder, all Plug-ins & Force.  It will also work on old G4/Vipec V series ECU's.

Connection to your tablet/smartphone is direct using your normal Link USB tuning cable, for phones/tablets that only have a micro USB port you will need a "Micro USB OTG adapter".   Instructions for setup and connection attached to bottom of this post.

    Hi guys,

    couple of questions

when you take ur car to tuner , what does it mean when they lock the map?

does that mean you can’t see the values or you can but can’t change it?

on link g4 plug in, can you have a switch for anti lag so it can be switched on and off?

does link g4 support fuel pressure and oil pressure sensor so it can stop the engine reving above 3k if oil or fuel pressure is low?

finally, is there a wireless solution so you can see pc link on iphone to use as monitoring gauge?

What do i need to have an obd wired in?

  8. Many thanks

that won’t impact the engine negatively or blow it up does it?

i have read the manual and it seems it is plug and play and i don’t even need to run vacuum pipe to ecu as I can just use the r34 boost pressure sensor or map sensor without any rewiring

  9. all,

i own an r34 gtt and I think standard injectors are 370cc or so and  have purchased a 630cc injectors.

i just need to start the car and let it run for little while before taking it to tuner so question is, can i change the fuel duty cycle or injector opening time to half so essentially the engine can run in idle and low speed with new injectors?
