  1. Evening,

    I'm trying to fault find an AEM COP on my Link G4+ for a B18c.

    The issues I'm having are;

    -No timing light pulses while cranking.

    -A flat 4.3v trigger scope event.

    -No RPM signal.

    What I've checked;

    -Coil Test. (all work fine with timing light)

    -Confirmed all pins on sensor side are correct.

    -All pins on ECU side are as per Adamw's Illustration from another topic.

    I have consolidated every reference that I've been able to find on these forums to help me but I'm still unable to get a normal signal on the scope.

    Will continue to look for anything out of the ordinary but would appreciate some help!

    depending on the coils you use you can either fire them direct from the ECU or you may need an external igniter. The coils from the more modern k20's fit onto B16/18's pretty well and dont require any igniters as an example.

    Thanks for confirming that! I will be running K20 coils with in-built igniters.

  3. Morning,

    I'm wanting to wire in a T1 Race Cam Trigger system for a B18C and completely remove the factory Distributor. Can the ignition coils be run straight from the ECU ignition pins or do they have to be routed through a CDI box.

    Cheers,
