Forgot to add new Crank sensor and changed cam sensor I connected my scope to test for injection witch was present and checked for spark it has every thing for it to run but feel the ecu not injecting or sparking at the correct time to create combustion the problem is every time I open the bonnet the bloody thing fires up before i can get a chance to carry out more in depth scope checks. i tell ya im getting sick of it as i cant take it any where with out it not wanting to start and who wants to have a car that wont start when you want it to

  2. Hi Guys

    This issue is still been a problem I suspect its the ECU.

    So when i first start the car in the morning it the engine will fire right up no problem. take it for a drive weather it a 5 minute drive down the road or a 5 hour drive it will run like it should. if i turn it off and re start it right away its fine if i go and leave it 20 minutes and try and re start it it will not start the the love of money. 

    Fuel pump is new 2 years ago and has split fuel rail fuel system with yellow injectors witch have been serviced and flow tested. Coils are all genuine new 2 years ago and don't suspect this as it has no misfire to speak off. Battey is new and test's fine.

    I am at a loss to what this could be.

    I have done a trigger scope file attached and also a pc log of hot cranking. can you have a look and see if you can see anything going on. 

    Basically engine will not fire if you leave it for 5 minutes after shutdown and try and restart. but if you turn it off and start it stright back up it starts no problem.

    also when i scope the cam sensor with my scope it is just under 6v and the link shows just over 2 volt witch is odd?

  4. Hi adam 

    Yes i was wanting to make sure there were no issues before i started hence asking about the errors once I knew what was causing the error i added the dash and the lambda. any how its all working good now just had to remove the jumper  the dash witch is a resistor.

    Have and issue with a new storm g4x ecu.

    History

    Old ecu was a storm g4

    connected new ecu unlocked carried out ecu update 

    setup map

    in run time values under can it has errors and there is nothing plugged into the b plug would be good to know what the issue is.

    Link G4+ P&P Subaru v7-v8 ecu

    I have the dash wired to can 1 and setup the can 1 in the ecu to aim mxs dash port 1000 and 20 hz

    The problem is the dash cant see any data from the ecu. The dash is a aim brought for link its the new 7" street version 

    Also with out realizing I transferred a page and lost all the pages preinstalled it would be good to know how to get them back 

    Also having problems with RH cam sensor it works for a while then stops working. looses signal. have removed sensor and tested input to ecu with volt meter. re installed and rotated engine by hand and worked. then run engine and worked long enough to check tdc and carry out vvt cam test and setup on left and right sensors.  then gave up the ghost. frick knows what is going on there

  7. Hi Guys

    I have just about finished a EJ25 Build for my wrx v8 running  a link g4+ plug and play. So the factory engine runs a cam sensor on the left head and a cam sensor on the back of the head in the intake cam 2 pin AC

    the new build is a D25 head off a EJ255 engine and it does not run a cam sensor on the left front. but runs a 3 pin hall effect sensor is there any way i can make this work without changing the sensors over as i will run into other issues ie length and diameter. and can i run with out the front left cam sensor??

  8. yes running open loop and have tried at 25hz and 20 across the whole table. my process was started at 1 bar boost and go up from there so ie as in increased from 20  to say 21 or 22 duty cycle across the whole table that is when the boost would come up and hold to 6000rpm then drop to .7 bar its like the boost solenoid can't control it  i did a pwm test on the BS and its ok at low pressure but when the pressure increases in stops. can these reach a certain boost level and fail?? 

  9. If I drop the wg dc down to 20 it is fine. and when at 24 the boost comes in and out like what you have shown. I have attached another capture of what i mean i would have had the boost solenoid at eith 15 or 30hz when it did this.  i will try another bov tomorrow but don't think that is the problem. this wasn't a problem until link was fitted. Its worth mentioning I have just fitted bolt on upgrades hence why link has been fitted.  Turbo upgrade  GDC Garrett 3071R twin scroll turbo direct bolt on,  ID1050 injectors, dw300 fuel pump, link g4+ hks 3" turbo back exhaust.

  10. Hi Guys

    I am in the process of tuning my vehicle. I have the fuel map done for on boost up to 1 bar up to 7500rpm but as soon as i up the boost to like 1.2bar and it hits 6000rpm it drops to 0.7 bar. I have check the trim tables and monitored and data logged WG Duty cycle  and it is still commanding what i have set. its not hitting any limits.  has any one come across this issue.
