  1. Hi all I'm trying to use a bosch cam sensor (0 232 103 140) as a wheel speed sensor using the 8 bolt heads on back of hub.

    I can't seem to make it work no mater what settings I try. 

    Has anyone had any look or do I need a different type of sensor?

    I currently have it wired as

    3 = 5v sensor supply

    2 = signal

    1= sensor ground.

    Tried setting as frequency and wheel speed.

  2. Hi Adam I made a tacho driver but suspect I had damaged the tacho using a standalone pwm driver prior to this at 5v (was working great) but couldn't work out how to do tacho pwm output. 

    If you can recommend a small unit I can retro fit that works with the link output that would be awsome.  There is plenty of room in datsun cluster.

  3. Hi I have a old datsun 280zx and been unsuccessful with the tacho convenrtion using original and voltage spike devices to trigger. :(

    I have some old ford fester gauges I've taken apart.

    Has anyone got any clues on how to drive it? Looks like it's just two coils with 4 connections?.

     

    plan is to get it working then replace datsun tacho electronics to give a retro look. 

    Im also running realdash and windows 10 tablet. Engine is 2jz  nat with link fury g4+.

  4. Any one in the area want to help get a base map set up on my 2jz nat 

    8.5cr

    730cc injectors

    Ethrottle

    Coil on plug 

    2x bosch knock

    Gt45 ar 96

    4" exhaust

     

    Ideally get it somewhere close so I can get it to rolling road.

    Had a quick drive on a set up I hacked together and didn't seem to bad but don't want to do any damage. Logs in shared drive

  5. Thank warm up log attached 

    Seems to want more fuel once enrichment drops off. if you can help with the base map and enrichment using the attached log that would be great.

    Dyno is 5 miles so not to far. Im waiting for a slot but want to get it prepaired best i can prior to visit to reduce time if possible.

    I did notice the charge temp is acting strange and going high when warm (is it calculated?)? The IAT sensor is in manifold and seem normal. should i have IAT at intake and a charge temp sensor in manifold?

  6. That's great thanks Adam.

    The ethrottle, I had some issues and took a lot of setting up to get current values. Unit was off a 2014 Jaguar v8 f type. Auto cal kept failing so had to do manual. 

    I did initially check base timing was correct but will redo as I've replaced the coil on plugs since and changed a lot of parts. 

    I will get a log with it warming up this evening.

  7. Evening don't suppose any one can help with base maps for my 2jz 280zx. I used the supplied base map and had a bit of a mess and got it running.

    It's

    Link g4+ fury

    8.5cr gte pistons with thick rods

    730cc bosch injectors (not sure if I need to do any config?)

    Ethrottle (sort of setup and idles once warm but stalls on quick blips)

    Coil on plug 

    Big single turbo 

    4bar map

    Mac solenoid.

    Aim Is to get a safe tune so I can get it to rolling road. 

    Based uk Midlands if anyone's local.

  8. Afternoon All just trying to get this 2JZ NAT running at idle so i can get some where close to road calibrating prior to rolling road.

    It starts flairs and idles at 2000RPM and AFR is at hovering around 10.

    I have 730cc injectors and template from 2JZGTE base file so was expecting to run a little rich.

    1. is it the ECT lock out thats stopping closed loop lambda? 

    2. Is the high idle due to the enrichment?

     

    I hopefully will be able to find some time later to test but thought i would raise the question while waiting to escape from work.

  9. Hi All gone for first start but only getting the occasional back fire. I have tried various different trigger 2 values but no change. Am i doing something wrong?

    Trigger 1 is working and offset was fine with timing light showing 10BTDC when checking.

    My second trigger has been machined in head (single trigger Cam) with VR type sensor  and crank pickup using the vvt1 32tooth trigger wheel (missing tooth) and VR sensor.

  10. Hi Adam did a bit more testing and something odd is occurring. The pedal and throttle calibrates, but seems throttle is open when pedal at 0%,closing when pedal pressed.

    I did a test and auto calibrated the AP in reverse and it sort of works (0-100% throttle = Pedal 0-25% ish)

    Will have another look tomorrow but heres the last log and cal from last test

  11. Afternoon Adam

    found another schematic where the Sub and ground were switched so tried that and can now get signal voltages to sweep across the full range.

     

    Issue is its still failing TPS calibration as its unable to reach 98% (error 16)

    Cal and log attached (CALIBRATION Not DONE / setting up actuators and sensors with manifold off)

  12. Hi Adam pedal is working but issue with throttle unable to calibrate (butterfly open and closes before failing). Looked at raw values for main and sub both are at 4.8v and don't move when manually operated (motor disconnected). I did some meter checks and did not get any variable resistance measurements. 

    Had a  spare so pulled apart to look at internals and wasn't what I expected (some sort of encoder). Pics attached

    Throttle was removed from a 2016 Jaguar V8 

    Any ideas on how I should proceed? 

    I did a bit of Google image searching and seems similar to some opel ethrottles.

  13. Morning all just got a fury g4+ for my 280zx build with 2jz. I was previously running a md35 kms and had been using the ignitor to drive the coil on plugs (2pin type). My question is I can't seem to find any if on if ignitor is required or if driven direct from ecu outputs?. Will be running sequential and coils are  super sparks.
