  1. Hello all,

I have a V88 with serial prior to 10000, therefore I need the minor hardware upgrade to get the real CAN support. This shouldn't be a problem anyways..

I would like to understand if I get this upgrade will I be able to use a standard OBDII reader to read some real-time data such as AFR, engine speed, boost, etc....

My idea is to use a android tablet as an additional gauge display with a OBDII -> Bluetooth adapter like this:

    Will this work at all?

  2. Small update:

I had one constant problem with the Inlet cam trigger.

The Inlet/LH Err counter was constantly increasing. Especially after revving while RPMs go back. Consequently the the Inlet vanos was going out of sync for couple of seconds.

My trigger setup is exactly as in the help:

    Trigger1 - crank

    Trugger2 - Exhaust cam

    DI1 - Inlet cam

with all the settings from help.

I tried to set "Pullup Resistor" to "ON" (it is OFF in the help for BMW S52) and voila.

Not a single error anymore and the vanos is in sync all the time.

I hope this could be helpful for somebody with the same engine.

  3. Hello, Is there such thing? I've found this: http://www.linkecu.com/support/documentation/technical-drawings/G09 Which makes me very happy. In the notes within the wiring diagram it says: This diagram is intended to be used with the BMW Dual VANOS base map (distributed with PCLink). Is there such thing as base map for BMW S50B32 euro motor with dual vanos and 321hp stock? I installed PCLink, but i don't find any BMW base maps in the 'PCLink\Base Maps' folder. Thanks in advance and best regards!
